Ingredients
Scale
2 pounds chicken wings, separated into drumettes and flats
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
Optional: Your favorite wing sauce or dry rub ingredients
Instructions
Pat the chicken wings completely dry with paper towels. This is crucial for crispiness.
In a bowl, toss the wings with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and onion powder until evenly coated.
Arrange the wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd the basket; cook in batches if necessary.
Air fry at 380°F (190°C) for 15 minutes.
Flip the wings and increase the temperature to 400°F (200°C).
Air fry for another 10-15 minutes, or until the wings are golden brown and crispy.
If using a sauce, toss the cooked wings in your favorite sauce immediately after removing them from the air fryer.
Serve hot and enjoy.
Notes
For extra crispy skin, you can add 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder to the dry rub. Ensure it’s aluminum-free.
If cooking from frozen, add an additional 5-7 minutes to the initial cooking time.
This recipe is easily scalable for larger crowds. Adjust cooking time as needed for larger batches.
