A simple apple pie dump cake recipe that combines the flavors of apple pie with the ease of a dump cake. Perfect for fall gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (21 ounces) apple pie filling
  • 1 box (15.25 ounces) yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • Optional: Caramel sauce, vanilla ice cream for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Pour the apple pie filling into a 9×13 inch baking dish. Spread it evenly.
  3. Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the apple pie filling. Do not mix.
  4. Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the cake mix.
  5. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
  6. Let it cool slightly before serving. Serve warm with caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream if desired.

Notes

  • For a variation, try using a spice cake mix instead of yellow cake mix.
  • You can add a sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg over the top before baking for extra flavor.
  • This dump cake is a great alternative to traditional meal planning when you need a quick dessert.
