A quick and easy dump cake recipe that combines apple pie filling with snickerdoodle cake mix for a delicious fall dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1 (21 ounce) can apple pie filling
  • 1 (18.25 ounce) box snickerdoodle cake mix
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
  • Whipped cream or ice cream for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Pour the apple pie filling into a 9×13 inch baking dish. Spread it evenly.
  3. Sprinkle the dry snickerdoodle cake mix evenly over the apple pie filling. Do not mix.
  4. Pour the melted butter evenly over the dry cake mix.
  5. If using, sprinkle the chopped nuts over the top.
  6. Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving. Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream if desired.
