A simple yet elegant baked brie appetizer perfect for gatherings. Choose to wrap it in puff pastry or top it with your favorite sweet or savory additions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (8 ounce) wheel of brie cheese
  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed (optional)
  • 1/4 cup jam, honey, or chopped nuts (optional toppings)
  • Crackers or baguette slices for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. If using puff pastry, unroll it and place the brie wheel in the center. Wrap the pastry around the brie, sealing the edges. Place seam-side down on a baking sheet.
  3. If not using puff pastry, place the brie wheel directly on a small baking sheet or in an oven-safe dish.
  4. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the brie is soft and gooey. If using puff pastry, bake until the pastry is golden brown.
  5. Remove from oven. If topping, spread your chosen jam, honey, or nuts over the warm brie.
  6. Serve immediately with crackers or baguette slices.

Notes

  • For a sweet and savory cheese experience, try topping with fig jam and prosciutto.
  • Ensure the brie is at room temperature before baking for even melting.
  • You can score the top of the brie before baking to help it ooze more easily.
