Ingredients
Scale
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 (12 ounce) package semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups mini marshmallows
1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
Instructions
Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang for easy removal. Lightly grease the paper.
Combine the sweetened condensed milk, chocolate chips, and butter in a medium microwave-safe bowl.
Microwave on high in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each interval, until the mixture is completely smooth and melted. This usually takes 1 to 1.5 minutes total.
Stir in the vanilla extract and salt until combined.
Gently fold in the mini marshmallows and chopped nuts until they distribute evenly throughout the chocolate mixture.
Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared pan and spread it into an even layer.
Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until the fudge is firm enough to cut.
Use the parchment overhang to lift the fudge from the pan. Cut into small squares for serving.
Notes
For the best texture, use good quality chocolate chips.
If you prefer a different nut, almonds work well in this recipe.
This fudge sets up best when chilled, so plan your cutting time accordingly.
