A traditional creamy green bean bake topped with crispy fried onions, a beloved holiday favorite.

Ingredients

  • 2 (10.5 ounce) cans condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 (14.5 ounce) cans cut green beans, drained
  • 1 (6 ounce) can French’s Fried Onions

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the condensed cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, and black pepper. Stir until smooth.
  3. Add the drained green beans to the soup mixture and stir to coat evenly.
  4. Pour the mixture into a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  5. Bake for 25 minutes.
  6. Remove the casserole from the oven and sprinkle the French’s Fried Onions evenly over the top.
  7. Return the casserole to the oven and bake for another 5-10 minutes, or until the onions are golden brown and the casserole is bubbly.
  8. Let stand for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • If using frozen green beans, thaw them first and drain any excess water to prevent a watery casserole.
  • For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of garlic powder to the soup mixture.
  • This casserole pairs well with other holiday dishes and is a great option for meal planning.
