Make this easy baked chicken dish that balances sweet honey, spicy heat, and creamy feta cheese. It is ready fast for a weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish. Rub the chicken with olive oil, then season evenly with smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey and hot sauce to create the hot honey glaze.
  4. Spoon half of the hot honey glaze evenly over the chicken breasts.
  5. Bake for 15 minutes.
  6. Remove the dish from the oven. Spoon the remaining hot honey glaze over the chicken. Sprinkle the crumbled feta cheese evenly over the top of each breast.
  7. Return the chicken to the oven and bake for another 5 to 10 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and the feta is slightly softened and bubbly.
  8. Remove from the oven, let rest for 5 minutes, then garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can sear the chicken breasts in a hot skillet for 2 minutes per side before baking.
  • Serve this sweet and spicy chicken over white rice or with roasted broccoli for a complete meal.
  • If you prefer a thicker glaze, reduce the honey and hot sauce mixture slightly on the stovetop before using.
