Make this creamy White Christmas Margarita for a festive, snowy-looking cocktail perfect for your holiday parties. This easy recipe uses tequila, lime, and coconut cream for a refreshing winter drink.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ounces silver tequila
  • 1 ounce fresh lime juice
  • 1 ounce Cointreau or triple sec
  • 1.5 ounces cream of coconut (or full-fat coconut milk)
  • 0.5 ounce simple syrup (optional, adjust to taste)
  • Shredded coconut, for rimming
  • Lime wedges, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare your glasses: Run a lime wedge around the rim of each margarita glass. Roll the rim in shredded coconut to create a snowy edge.
  2. Combine ingredients: Add the tequila, lime juice, Cointreau, cream of coconut, and simple syrup (if using) to a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
  3. Shake well: Close the shaker and shake hard until the outside is very cold, about 20 seconds. This chills and slightly froths the drink.
  4. Strain and serve: Strain the mixture into your prepared, coconut-rimmed glasses filled with fresh ice.
  5. Garnish: Add a lime wedge to the rim of each glass before serving your festive holiday cocktails.

Notes

  • For a frozen margarita, blend all ingredients with about 1 cup of ice per serving until smooth. This creates a great frozen margarita for Christmas option.
  • If you want a slight pink hue for extra color, add a splash of cranberry juice before shaking.
  • Use high-quality silver tequila for the best flavor in this creamy tequila drink.
